Not everything we hear is an opinion. Some things are indeed facts. For example, if someone says the sky is blue and it is. Or if someone says, God loves you.. that is definitely a fact.
Of if someone says lying is a sin. Fact.

Thanks for your thoughts!!

Just as with anything, there is always a side that isn't completely truth. :) I agree with some aspects of these quotes; but not all of them. I think the main opinion of the author was that life is a lot less black and white than we think it is!

I see what you are saying but there are indeed some things that are 100% true, black and white. (Like God loves you.) I can't find any untruth in that. :)

Maybe that's why I end up not liking a lot of quotes because I can't agree with them 100%. LOL

Good point! You're right: there are some black and white issues. I don't believe there are as many as I originally thought but I do believe there are some.

Difference in opinion is a fact of life... a good fact of life. It is what keeps us thinking. If we were all the same, we would never have any cause for critical thought.

Critical thinking is so very important in life. I don't know why it made me think of politics but I truly believe that if people used more common sense and were more critical thinkers, the world wouldn't be in a mess as it is. I do a ton of analyzing and critical thinking when it comes time to vote!! And that time is coming up ;)
It's also why the government is so over-bearing and practically tries to protect people from themselves. So many rules, laws and regulations because people don't think enough.
Or use common sense :)

I'm so thankful that I was raised to think things out, to study and truly own my beliefs! And I continue to do so every day.

Differences in opinions can cause a person to look into matters further and sometimes it has even caused me to turn my opinions completely around esp. after being willing to listen, and humble my heart.

What I don't like is when people disagree with facts. For example: A runner finishes a race at 1hr and 20 minuets and 33 seconds. But some people disagree because they thought they saw it differently. They replay the photo finish and sure enough, the announcer was right. And yet still that person wants to disagree. That is a problem of pride and just wanting to be right when clearly they are in the wrong. So many people are like that today... they want to be right no matter what. It's a huge pride issue. And when a person is like that and they don't want to listen to others, or listen to wise counsel or authority... well, that isn't good either. It's good to be a critical thinker but also a critical listener =D
