Right. Who am I again?

Just for the record, you're actually supposed to say the post title in Hugh Grant's voice.

I sat down in my favorite spot (floor against my bed) to type this blog post and suddenly had two very affectionate cats purring in my ear and rubbing their heads against mine. Lol! There's nothing like having a cat in your life who adores you. Makes everything seem so much more bearable. ;-)

You would not believe how busy the past week has been. It was like everything decided to happen at once and life was just... wow. Over the past two months, I feel like I have become a different person. Some days, I'm not even sure of who I am anymore. But I am sure of one thing... in fact, more sure each day than the last: God's love. The more I learn of Him, the more I realize how very blessed I am. His attitude of how precious I am to Him enfolds me each moment and the fear leaves.

Then thou shalt call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. (Isaiah 58:9)

For the past few weeks, I've been studying to get my learner's permit and I think I'm ready to take it. I went into  Andrew's Agencies (SGI) and paid the fee to get into the system (which... I gathered... I already was to a certain extent) (don't ask. I'm as confused as you are.) But the more ridiculous thing has happened. I lost the paper which contained the information about getting my learners... phone #, website, etc. Very frustrating. Tell me why these things happen to me?? On second thought, don't. Hehe. But oh... will it ever be so nice to get this out of the way. I have been dreading it for so long that I'm ready to get it done and over with.

My friend Jesse took me to Swan River, MB for my orthodontist appointment on the 5th. They had told me the last visit that they thought my braces would be coming off around Christmas time, so I was hoping against hope that they were accurate. Ahem. :-P Sometimes I hope for the impossible. This visit, they informed me that it will be a few more visits... which means more than two. On one hand, I know it is unrealistic to think I could get my teeth in perfect order that quickly. On the other hand, wouldn't it have been nice?? Lol. Anyways, good company on the 8 hour road trip. For that I can be thankful for.

Food for thought: do you have to look like Randy Travis to sound like him?

So, that's what has been going on lately. I still need to go practice the piano and my songs for the upcoming play. It's actually coming up pretty quickly. I really need to put more effort into memorizing. :sigh: Did you know that I cannot sing like Randy Travis? Serious training needed there. Lol!

Oh yeah. Life is good. ;-)

Kute Kittens! ;)
I love journaling on the floor next to our bed (bunkbed). It's my thoughtful spot =D
Your writings always put a smile on my face!

Sometimes I look back and wonder who I was (was that me?) 5 years ago. I've changed so much and yet stayed so very much the same...

So now that you're "into the system", there's no going back =P I joined the system about 6 years ago. Hehe.
Sorry to hear that you lost the paper; I hope it turns up or maybe you'll be able to find all the info you need again.

I really do enjoy Randy Travis? Do you? I don't know anyone else who sounds like him! It's too bad that his voice is no longer what it was...

How nice of your friend to take you to your ortho. appt. Too bad your hoping against the impossible didn't happen. We were originally told 3 years, then 1.5 years, I think. It ended up being 2 years of bondage (almost to the day!)
I'll never forget that day. The happiest day of my life when I was 12. =P

*laughing* So now you are acting like a blonde! lol :P jk :D

I've changed so much in the past year, not to mention 6 years, it's amazing. Growing up and learning tons, I guess! :)

I'm happy and relieved because although I still have a cyst to live with, I saw the doctor and she didn't think it was anything to be worried about. She thought perhaps it was a blocked duct, or a fluid build up of some sort. She said she sees them lots and that they aren't a problem. However, I still have a cyst to live with, so prayers are welcome. :) Yet I am much more "unworried". :) lol

Trying to see the bright side!

I got my proof copy of my novel today! :D

Sam, thanks so much for the lovely, long comment. I so enjoyed opening my blog page and finding it. :)

That picture is something I got off the 'net. Not "my" kitties, unfortunately. These are fatter, older and much uglier. I never knew how annoying cats could be until my life was taken over by these creatures. Lol. ;)

I found the phone # for the people to call for an appointment. I am excited and really nervous. :) I know I'll be fine... it's just jumping in that makes me nervous. Glad you have yours and all is well. Such a handy tool.

I love Randy Travis. His voice is awesome and he sings some amazing songs.

And yes, Jess is awfully kind to take me. :) :)

Bekah, when did I *stop* acting blonde?? ;) Lol! Don't worry about it. I've been teased about being blonde my entire life. :) :)

Sometimes it seems like growing up and maturing takes forever... but at the same time, it seems to happen so suddenly, I'm unprepared for it. Is it the same for you?

I am so happy that it's just a cyst. But at the same time, sorry about your health troubles. It seems like you've had your fair share. :hugs: May God's love and strength be yours in the coming weeks. Keep looking at the bright side. It's there. :)

Yay about the proof copy! That's wonderful! Is it what you had hoped?

*grins* I get called blonde when I barely have any of it. When people tell me I've lost my mind, I always reply, "Can't lose something you never had!!" :P lol

Yes, I "grow up" more without even realizing it sometimes! But it is normally a good thing!

Thank you~ *hugs back* You and I both know about poor health, don't we?!?! What a pair we make! :D
